How Desktop Terminals Pair to Gym OS
Terminals do not use shared passwords or unauthenticated API keys. Every installation follows an authoritative 5-state trust lifecycle.
Download & Launch
Install GymOS-Setup.exe on reception PC. Device starts in state UNPAIRED.
Generate Code
The terminal displays a 6-digit one-time code (e.g. 749-210) and enters PAIRING.
Manager Approval
A manager inputs the code in the Staff Console. The device transitions to AUTHORISED.
Operational Token
The terminal acquires its hardware session token, pulls offline member caches, and unlocks the POS and check-in scanner.
Deterministic Cloud Revocation Semantics
When a gym administrator revokes a terminal in the Staff Console, the revocation takes effect immediately in cloud storage. If the physical machine is currently powered off or disconnected, it cannot receive commands. However, the instant it re-establishes a network connection, the cloud returns an immutable ACTION_PURGE_LOCAL_CACHE directive, immediately invalidating the session and deterministically wiping local application storage.
Peripheral Hardware Compatibility
Plug and play drivers tested across major commercial hardware brands.
Receipt Printers
Epson TM-T88, TM-T20, Star TSP100 / TSP143, Citizen CT-S310. Standard 80mm thermal paper with native ESC/POS cut commands.
Cash Drawers
APG Vasario, M-S Heavy Duty, Star standard. Triggered via RJ11 Pin 2 solenoid kick pulse (ESC p 0 25 250).
Barcode Scanners
Honeywell Voyager, Zebra Symbol DS2208/DS9308. Supports USB Keyboard Emulation and virtual Serial COM port listeners.
Card Terminals
Stripe WisePOS E and BBPOS WisePad 3. High-security local LAN discovery with zero manual IP re-entry.
